Hi Community Connection partners, Digital Inclusion/Equity advocates and community leaders.
I want to socialize with those working in Salt Lake City, serving populations that are susceptible to internet adoption barriers, such as cost, speed choices, and overall availability. Google Fiber is working hard to connect Salt Lake City to a fiber optic network that brings fast, reliable internet to the home. I am excited to let you, our local leaders and DI advocates, know about and help us inform qualified households that a Google Fiber N100 (Neighborhood 100) product has been released in areas of Salt Lake City where internet adoption is lower. This product is affordable at $20 monthly subscription, and connects the customer to a 100 meg internet connection (symmetrical, up and down). The N100 has two primary qualifications, the household must self qualify as being a household income of $40,000 or less AND be a Google Fiber sign up eligible household within an area identified by the FCC and Census Data as having a measurable amount of residents NOT connected to the internet.
We encourage residents looking for an affordable product, where Google Fiber is offered, to see if they qualify for the N100 product to visit: https://fiber.google.com/neighborhood100/

I have attached a flyer to this message (which Ian has kindly made available below via download), and this link - https://fiber.google.com/neighborhood100/ - allows residents to see if they are in an eligible service area for N100 @ $20/monthly.
Please reach out with additional questions, and I will be sure to raise this in the next Utah Communities Connect (UCC) meeting. For those of you not aware of or involved in UCC - please visit https://utahcc.org/
