Escamilla was involved in legislation to get environmental quality monitoring in the NW Quadrant prior to development –this is pollution monitoring of air and water to establish a baseline database incl safeguards and 3rd party verification. Was also involved in some common sense amendments to the Medical Cannabis Act. Also introduced some consumer protections for the adoption process in Utah. Reported that full adoption of MedicAid is not an option in Utah. Both voted against on Inland Port related issues. Luz Escamilla is now also a candidate for the mayoral election this year.
