Dear Neighbors,
The Glendale Community Council is using this time of social distancing to evaluate how we do things and to consider changes to increase participation in our council. We've put together a short survey and we would love to get your feedback on the future of our council meetings. We're considering changing the meeting schedule to increase the quality of our meetings. We are asking residents to comment on our proposed changes. Please take a moment to complete our brief survey. If you have any questions or have suggestions for us, please contact me directly. Thank you, Turner C. Bitton Chair - Glendale Community Council chair@glendaleutah.org (801) 564-3860

The Glendale Community Council recently submitted the attached letter to the Salt Lake City Housing & Neighborhood Development Division regarding the 2020-2024 Salt Lake City Consolidated Plan. We asked residents to submit feedback for inclusion in the letter and the attached letter is an amalgamation of that feedback. ![]()
Dear Neighbors,
We have received word from the Salt Lake City Library that they are canceling all public meetings and events at all branches through April 15th in response to the Coronavirus outbreak. With this in mind, we have made the decision to cancel our March and April community council meetings. We understand that the current situation can be overwhelming. On behalf of all of the board members of the Glendale Community Council - Ashley, Latu, Jeremy, Dane, and Ryan - I would like to reassure you that times like this are an occasion to come together as neighbors. We encourage you to practice acts of neighborly kindness and to support one another at this time. We encourage you to support your neighbors - particularly those who might have mobility or health challenges that make grocery shopping or other tasks difficult. We also encourage you to rely on trustworthy sources for news about Coronavirus, like: - The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention - Salt Lake City's Coronavirus Fact Page - Utah Department of Health Coronavirus Information Our neighborhood and our city are strongest when our neighbors care for one another. Should you or your family need support or assistance during this time, please do not hesitate to reach out to me. Thank you, Turner C.
