Today the Glendale Community Council released a report with findings from an on-site visioning exercise held at the Raging Waters property on October 31, 2020. The event was designed to solicit feedback from the community regarding the future of the Raging Waters site. Overview: Closed since 2018, the pools leak, much of the equipment is broken and unsafe, or no longer meet engineering codes. Vandalism and operator abandonment have created additional problems, such as fires, stripped electrical wiring, and equipment theft. The park’s condition leaves Salt Lake City wrestling with the difficult question of what to do next. The Raging Waters site presents an especially important opportunity for the Glendale neighborhood and residents are passionate and invested in the future of its development. The report is designed to provide feedback to the Salt Lake City Council and Mayor as they discuss the future of the site. ![]()
